powerBOX Search Tips

·         Search within Results This is a way to refine your broader searches by searching within your results.   Searching on PUMP may produce way too many results, but by checking the Search within results box, drill down further with your next search word (EX:  CONTROL).  Search within results can be done more than once until your search is refined.

·         Phrase search (“”)  By putting double quotes around a set of words, powerBOX looks for the exact words in that exact order. 

·         Terms to exclude (-) Attaching a minus sign immediately before a word indicates that you do not want pages that contain this word to appear in your results.

·         Search exactly as is (+) By attaching a + immediately before a word (remember, don’t add a space after the +), you are telling the powerBOX to match that word precisely as you typed it in.  Putting double quotes around a word will do the same thing.
